The first half of the two-part Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress big-screen compilation is set to debut in Japanese theaters next month. And with the premiere right around the corner, we're starting to get more news about the release -- as well as the above poster art, featuring Haruhiko Mikimoto's character designs.
The two films, which we now know are titled Tsudou Hikari ("Gathering Light") and Moeru Inochi ("Burning Life"), will premiere on December 31, 2016 and January 7, 2017 respectively.
In addition, there will be a special premium pre-screening of Tsudou Hikari at Tokyo's Shinjuku Piccadilly on Thursday, December 22. Voice actors Tasuku Hatanaka (Ikoma), Sayaka Senbongi (Mumei), Maaya Uchida (Ayame), Toshiki Masuda (Kurusu), Yūki Kaji (Takumi), and Mamoru Miyano (Biba) are slated to be in attendance, and will appear after the screening of the film.
Tickets for the event are ¥ 4,320 (tax included). A lottery for advance tickets will take place from December 3-6, with tickets going on sale to the general public on December 11.
